I'd say two things to answer you:
For one, if you lose your virginity, and then just plan on going to confession, things will not be okay. For one, you could get pregnant. Confession does not change that. You could get an STD that you could pass on to your future husband. Confession can't cure it. You want to give your future spouse a clean mind, without sexual memories of old boyfriends, and confession can't take those flashbacks away. So, if this guy really loves you, he'll wait for you. Secondly, to sin with the intention of just going to confession is called the sin of presumption. It's actually committing two sins at once. You could compare it to a wife who cheats on her husband because she knows he'll let her back. It is far from love.
So if you really want to love this guy, and love your God, pursue purity. By doing so, you will find both peace and joy.
